Milton Academy is seeking a Penn Teaching Fellow Program Co-Director to start in June 2025, with a commitment of at least three years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fellow Support & Development: Acclimate fellows, coordinate mentorship, and facilitate fieldwork seminars.
- Penn Faculty Collaboration: Attend Penn’s Steering Committee meetings, review lesson plans, grade assignments, and support fellows academically.
- Field Study Course Leadership: Design and lead weekly fellows’ meetings, observe and provide feedback, and facilitate mentor discussions.
- Logistics & Travel Coordination: Organize travel and accommodations for program-related events, including three in-person weekends and a summer session at Penn.
- Hiring & Recruitment: Assist with fellow and mentor hiring, conduct interviews, and track hiring demographics.
- Community Building: Organize social events to foster a cohort community among fellows.
- Program Advocacy: Represent the program internally and externally, support fellows’ integration into the school community, and assist with career guidance.
The Program Co-Director will continue to teach their normal courses but at a reduced load (by 1.0 workload units). The Program Co-Director will work closely with the other Program Co-Director.
