Class IV Follies: Dreaming Wide Awake

Milton Academy Performing Arts invites actors, singers, musicians, dancers and those interested in tech theatre from Class IV to join the Class IV Follies. The Follies is an annual tradition where Class IV performers and crew come together to create a unique showcase of their talents for the entire Milton community. No experience is necessary and all interested students will be featured. This year’s Follies, Dreaming Wide Awake, will incorporate dream-themed scenes and songs handpicked for each performer. Behind the scenes, tech crew members will be designing, building, and painting the sets and props to create an equally fantastical world.

No Exit, a play in the Studio Theatre

Two women and one man are locked up together for eternity in one hideous room in Hell. The windows are bricked up, there are no mirrors, the electric lights can never be turned off, and there is no exit. The irony of this Hell is that its torture is not of the rack and fire, but of the burning humiliation of each soul as it is stripped of its pretenses by the cruel curiosity of the damned. It is an eternal torment.

Something Rotten, musical comedy

Welcome to the Renaissance and the outrageous, crowd-pleasing musical farce, Something Rotten. Something Rotten was lauded by audience members and critics alike, receiving several Best Musical nominations and hailed by Time Out New York as “the funniest musical comedy in at least 400 years.” Something Rotten features large song and dance numbers, and a wacky cast of over-the-top characters, each with their own moment to shine. We are looking for a large, diverse cast of singers, dancers, and technical crew for this wild and wacky sendup of Musicals and Shakespeare. No experience necessary.

Speech and Debate

Calling all actors, public speakers and debaters: The Milton Academy Speech and Debate Team is looking for you. Are you ready to step into the spotlight and unleash your speaking prowess? The Speech and Debate Team is hard working, and boasts a distinguished legacy with consistent national achievements. We’re seeking passionate students who can captivate audiences, craft compelling arguments, and excel as team players. Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or just beginning your journey, we welcome students from all grades to try out to be a part of this exciting tradition. Come showcase your voice, inspire change, and become a master of rhetoric with us.
