Milton Academy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Human Resources team, focusing primarily on recruiting and onboarding activities in preparation for the 2024-2025 academic year. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR administrative functions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Onboarding Support: Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Documentation Management: Review, approve, and track onboarding forms, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Maintain onboarding documents in the online applicant tracking system.
- Background Checks: Process background checks on new hires, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to compliance standards.
- Career Page Maintenance: Update and maintain the Milton Academy career page with current job openings and relevant information.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
- Project Work: Participate in HR initiatives and projects as assigned, potentially including editing job descriptions for consistency and clarity and revising policy and procedures manuals
